Santa Maria
I was contracted to capture the essence and beauty of Cotorro, a small yet historically rich town in Cuba, with the aim of promoting its unique charm to a wider audience. The project focused on highlighting the town's historical significance, particularly through the perspective of a foreigner, offering a fresh lens on the local culture and architecture. As part of the project, I created a curated slideshow that was designed to showcase the town’s most captivating scenes, especially its historic landmarks, which were then presented at a cultural festival held in Santa Maria Park. The backdrop of the festival was the majestic Santa Maria del Rosario Church, a remarkable structure that was constructed between 1760 and 1766 and is one of the town’s most notable heritage sites. The photographs and slideshow played an integral role in bringing awareness to Cotorro’s cultural wealth, enhancing the festival experience for both locals and visitors. Through collaboration and careful attention to the town’s historic and architectural highlights, the client was able to effectively promote the beauty of Cotorro to a broader audience, preserving and sharing its heritage in a meaningful way..
